Currently enrolling in our Discovery (ages 4-8), Explorers (ages 7-12), and Pathfinders (ages 11-16) programs. To secure your place in line, please follow the current application process. We will review applicants and contact them in order of receipt once a spot becomes available.
We are delighted that you are interested in ESTEAM Academy. The application process is not intended to be a barrier to entry but is designed to make sure that we are the right school to serve your family’s needs.
We know this process will take some work, but reinventing education is worth it. This is a powerful journey that requires all involved to continue to learn and grow. The resources and tools provided will help along the journey, but only if you they are used and practiced with intention. We are not telling you it is going to be easy, we are telling you it is going to be WORTH IT!
Applications will be considered in the order they are received.
Step One: Research and Introduction
Review the ESTEAM Academy and Acton Academy websites and use the resources below to gain a solid idea of who we are and what we are about.
If you think we are a good fit for your family, then please introduce yourself. Go to SCHEDULE A VISIT and book a facility tour while answering a few initial questions to let Nicholle Walton-Durban & Joann Nolte, Founders/Mentors, learn a bit about your journey to ESTEAM.
Step Two: Open House / Facility Tour
Once you have signed up for an Open House or Facility Tour you will receive our Information email. It provides even more detailed information on our programs, community, and the audition/interview process.
Join us on your scheduled tour date to get a look at the community in action, have any questions you have answered, and to determine if you are interested in continuing forward towards joining us.
Most tours last about 1 hour.
Step Three: The Application and Auditions
Once you feel like you have had your questions answered and are excited about joining the community, fill out the application, questionnaire, and complete the audition video (if applying to pathfinders studios). We will review it in the order it was received and set up a family interview.
Step Four: A Family Interview & Invitation to Studio
After we receive your application, questionnaire, and audition video, you and your child will be invited to meet with us and discuss our learning community and how it works. Please bring a sample of your child’s writing, recent work in math and/or a project or assignment of which your child is proud. Be prepared to discuss the types of activities your child enjoys and/or loses themselves in. Ask us lot of questions!
Upon completion of the Family Interview, your child will be invited to join us in the Studio for a trial week based on the Program they have selected. This gives everyone the opportunity to determine if they believe the environment is a good fit for all.
Step Five: Acceptance & ONBOARDING
Ensuring we have mutually agreed the ESTEAM Academy and your family are the right fit and we have a good balance of boys and girls of appropriate ages, we will approve the application. At that point, you will receive invitation to enroll. The following must be completed as part of the Enrollment process.
